Rev. Ruth Tonn - Pastor of Families and Community Outreach

Ruth Tonn will tell you that God called her to ministry when she was 13 years old, but she took the scenic route getting there. Literally! After 20 years of driving every highway and byway in North America as a professional long-haul driver and then having a career in industrial sales, Ruth moved to Nova Scotia in 2006 and held leadership roles in church and community ministries.  Ruth is convinced that God is actively at work in the world and is passionate about helping people grow as disciples of Jesus. She is obsessed with mission trips to Cuba and has a growing collection of Cuban treasures.  Rev. Ruth has two adult sons and lives with her rambunctious cats, Maybe and Kinda. For additional information, click here

Chaplain Jennifer Longley - Pastor of Congregational Care

Jennifer earned a Master of Divinity degree from Acadia Divinity College where she completed advanced studies in pastoral care and counselling and an extra practicum in palliative care. This led to additional training in bereavement support and to facilitating support groups throughout the Valley since 1993. She has worked as a Chaplain, as a trained palliative care volunteer and as a Support Coordinator with Caregivers Nova Scotia. A senior herself with her life experience of becoming a young widow with children and now the blessings of many grandchildren all help her understand many of the joys and sorrows we encounter.
