Wolfville Baptist Church
A Heart for Children and Youth
26% of children in Wolfville fall below the poverty line.
Community volunteers can help meet some of their needs.
The Board of Global Ministries invites you to help.

Wolfville Baptist Church partners with Wolfville Elementary School and Kings Point-to-Point Transit to assist students with essential transportation to appointments, and in several other ways. You can volunteer in one or all of the following ways:

-
Be a Reading Buddy for a child in the Reading Recovery Program of Wolfville Elementary School.
-
Help with occasional childcare at the church during school hours while a parent takes another sibling to an appointment.
-
Join a group meeting monthly at the church where you will team with a student to make healthy muffins / snacks for breakfasts or other uses as determined by the school. Participants will decide together on a schedule.

Our Heart for Children & Youth Literacy program urgently needs 2 adult reading buddies to join us as soon as possible. It would be ideal if you could meet with your students twice a week at their preferred time - usually sometime between 8:30 - 11:00 or 1:00-2:00 in the day.
Volunteers need to have all of their security checks completed, be double vaccinated and meet with Wendy Stubbert and Shon Whitney before they start.
Our little readers are really enjoying themselves and look forward to this time each slot we have with them.
