Margaret Mensah - Mentored Ministry Student

 

Margaret is a current Acadia Divinity College student, having moved from Ghana in September 2023, to begin her studies in the Master of Divinity program. Since May 2024, she has been serving as the part-time Receptionist and Building Manager at Acadia Divinity College.

Prior to her arrival in Nova Scotia, Margaret pursued a career in healthcare as a pharmacist, specializing in sexual and reproductive health counselling, HIV / STI management, health promotion, logistics management and inventory control, and health systems administration. She began her professional journey in the private pharmaceutical sector and later transitioned to the Ghana Health Service, accumulating both community and hospital pharmacy experience. Margaret holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, along with a Master of Arts in Population and Health from the University of Cape Coast. Additionally, she has earned four certificates in project management.

For more than a decade, Margaret has volunteered at Fountain Gate Chapel in various capacities, including leadership roles in the children’s department, Deaconry, women’s ministry, as well as serving as a lay pastor. Her commitment to community extends to the Touch Group Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on providing health and education support to vulnerable people.

Margaret is married to Emmanuel, and together they are parents to four children, Jason, Edith, Elma, and Jeremy.
